Hey guys, it's been a while hasn't it :) This is Emma, one of the co-authors of this blog. Thank you for tuning into the blog to aid your revision all these years.
The handwritten notes you've seen on here are actually notes that I wrote for myself in revision for my A Levels back in 2014-2016. You might have noticed that besides notes for Biology, there were also notes for Chemistry and Physics - this was because they weren't initially intended for the blog, hence the pale handwriting in pencil in some notes, and real oddball abbreviations in others. After I took my exams, my co-author insisted that it was a good idea to upload the notes anyways. And here they have lain ever since.
Either way, as authors of the blog, we'd like to say a big thank you to all of the students who have given these notes a chance in your revision rotation, even if you had to channel your inner Sherlock Holmes to decipher those abbreviations and semi-transparent handwriting.
For my AS Levels, I took the three Sciences and Maths, and dropped Physics going into my A2 year. I'm afraid this is why there has been no A2 Physics notes to be seen on this blog :') As much as I loved the subject and all the ways it helped explain the mechanisms of things taking place around me, it was more than my brain could digest at the depth the A2 subjects delved into.
It's been roughly 7.5 years since I took my A Levels, and since then I've gone off to college in the States, studied horticulture (plants and things), graduated in 2020, returned home and started tutoring IELTS. A year into that, I started tutoring IGCSE Sciences as well and this school year, I've decided to tackle the A Levels! starting with Maths 9709.
There are handwritten notes (digital this time!) for CIE/ CAIE IGCSE Coordinated Sciences 0654, examinations 2023-2024. If you're interested, feel free to check them out here.
And of course, as I'm tutoring Maths this year, I've also been gathering a bunch of resources together, and making study material out of them, all in one place so that it's easier to revise.
Syllabus: CIE/ CAIE A Level Maths 9709, examinations 2023-2025
Each chapter will contain:
- Study powerpoint: for you to work along with as you learn the material
- Revision notes: a summary of the content, to be used once you've already grasped the main concepts from the Study powerpoint
- Exercises to practice what you've learnt
- and their Solutions.
I'll keep uploading the chapters as they get completed. For those just entering sixth form this school year, please follow along! And thank you for staying tuned! Wishing you guys the best of luck in your self-studies.

hi can you do one for biology AS and A2 too? would really appreciate it :)
ReplyDeleteHi there! I currently don't have any plans on remaking those notes at of yet. There are Handwritten AS and A2 Bio notes pinned on the right side of the page, they're from 2014-2016, when I took the exams 😆 I think they're still usable for the most part, you just have to change it a bit to fit all the points of the current curriculum. And once you edit the notes yourself, I bet you'll understand and remember the material even more! Best of luck with your exams!
